I've witnessed God moving. He is currently doing so much for the women at my church, and through women around the world. I'm also seeing the enemy go after these women who are going to do BIG THINGS for the Kingdom- young and old. More specifically my young daughter. Who, since giving her life to the Lord, is experiencing satan's lies first hand.
When an adult gives their life to the Lord, we understand that the enemy is going to do what he does best and get us to question our identity, get us to doubt You. Satan doesn't want us to have any of the blessings You want for us. He wants to keep us in bondage; chained to darkness, hollowness and isolation.
When these little ones, so pure in heart, give their lives to You, they don't quite comprehend the imminent attacks they're about to face. It is no secret the enemy wants our children, and I am seeing it first hand.
This week, rather than a typical blog post, I want to write out a prayer I have for the "next generation". AKA the little ones. Of course this prayer goes out to everyone, but I have the little ones on my heart as I write this. Please join me in praying.
Lord,
Guard the ears of our- Your- children from the lies the enemy wants to fill them with: lies of being unloved, second best and unworthy. Protect the minds of these blessings. Purify their thoughts, and protect their eyes from seeing anything that is not necessary for them to see. What You do allow, use those things to glorify You and lead others to salvation. Clean the images running through their minds due to the perverse imagery in the world around us. Provide truth-speakers in their life who breath Your Truth into them; relentlessly, confidently, and with passion. Provide additional mentors outside the home to build up these young people to walk with a boldness and sense of evangelism. God embolden these children to speak truth no matter the circumstances, and stand up for those who are unable to stand up for themselves. Help them always remember 1 Timothy 4:122Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity
Lord, we know that You use all things for good. We pray for the children who have endured lifetimes of pain, suffering and torment; whether that be physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. Lend them wisdom and strength to endure and survive another day, as well as hope in a seemingly hopeless situation.
May their hard days be met with grace and love, if not from their parents, most certainly from You, oh Lord. Comfort their broken hearts, and give them the endurance they need to run their race. For their parents and guardians. That they may never dismiss the pains and struggles of these young ones, but rather guide and teach them how to handle these trials in a way that is healthy and gives You the glory. May these little ones always know and feel Your presence. We ask this is the powerful name of Jesus, Amen
As for satan...
I bet you kind of feel cool, getting a "spot" on this post, you're even in the title. But rest assured, this is nothing but a call out of the worst kind. As much as I would love to do some terrible things to you for what you've done to me, and now attempting to do to my children, I know how your story ends. You probably wish that it was MY way rather than what's coming. Seriously, I bet you're peeing your robe. Ohhh that's right, you got the boot from Heaven, so no more robes for you. Ouch.
Ropes (chains), maybe. That also comes later. #spoileralert
Also, it's kind of sad how you operate. Desperate, really. I mean some of these lies you come up with.... reach much? You may be able to fool us for a hot minute, but when another brother or sister in Christ pull us back, we come back stronger. Nothing is ever wasted with God. You, maybe. You definitely seem like the type to just let things go to waste if they aren't fitting your agenda. I don't know if you're actually watching what's happening, but as loud as your demons want to be, Heaven's armies are silently growing the Kingdom and adding names to the Good Book. Well not silently. We just don't feel the need to be obnoxious and fear-mongering to change hearts. We're taking a moral approach. I'd recommend it, but you're way past that. Speaking of changing hearts, it's interesting how you try to change minds... something so weak. Not that our minds aren't powerful and very capable in the right hands (not yours), but it's so temperamental. Welp, you've got about as much energy from me as you're going to get. Sorry your life is so miserable that you're literally trying to drag everyone around you down with you. Not really, you did this to yourself.
with all the pity,
Emily
That last part felt good to write. It helps me remember I'm fighting a spiritual battle, and who the real enemy is. When you're going through something, and the enemy is attacking from all angles, it's important that we are going to God first; HE ALONE is the best line of defense. If you're still angry at what's going on, direct that anger toward the one you're really angry at- the enemy. First, God will show you, like He does with me, time and time again what *I need to change*, and what *I need to do to get my heart right*. After you've gone to God, go yell at the devil :)
YOU are the 1 He left the 99 for. Don't forget who the real battle is against.
